In recent elections, voters who received ‘personal’ letters just before an election encouraging them to vote were significantly more likely to vote –
even if they had to get there on their own.
As a result, we’re going all in on a letter-writing campaign!
We’re partnering with all the other NCJW Texas sections as well as with Vote Forward to send as many letters as possible.
We hope to be a significant part of a non-partisan effort called The Big Send, whose goal is to mail 10 million letters nationally!
Here’s all you need:
📌 A printer;
📌 Envelopes (preferably #10 ‘business’ envelopes);
📌 First-class stamps;
📌 The time to write one sentence on each letter, sign your name and address the envelopes;
📌 The ability to mail the letters when requested before the election, on November 3.
AND – we’re making it fun as well as easy –
we’re holding an online letter-writing party so, while you’re writing your letters, you can also visit with friends and perhaps sip a beverage!!!
