Claudette Wolfe
2025 Janis Levine Music Make-A-Difference Award

Claudette Wolfe’s life has been devoted to education, community, and compassion. She holds an AB in Liberal Arts from Washington University in St. Louis, where she was active in student government and Sigma Delta Tau. One of her most cherished memories is meeting Nobel Peace Prize winner and United Nations Under-Secretary-General Ralph Bunche, who spoke during Brotherhood Week at Graham Chapel—a moment that left a lasting impression. She later earned her Master of Education in Elementary Supervision from the University of North Texas.
Claudette enjoyed a 50-year teaching career, with 12 years in public schools across Missouri and Texas, and 38 remarkable years at The Hockaday School. She played a vital role in shaping the school community through leadership on key committees and was honored as an honorary alumna. She also founded and directed Mrs. Wolfe’s Reading and Writing Camp for 30 years, helping young learners build confidence and skills.
Claudette joined NCJW Greater Dallas in 2003 and has been a passionate volunteer ever since. She’s spent nearly two decades with Kids in Court, served on the Awards Committee, as Executive Committee Secretary, and currently as Associate Secretary.
Claudette was married to her beloved husband David for 47 years. Together, they shared a love for travel, opera, and live theater.
Now retired, Claudette fills her days with meaningful connections—volunteering, taking piano lessons, reading thrillers, and enjoying time with her women’s group and book club. Her warmth, energy, and dedication truly reflect the spirit of this award.
