Together, we’ll recognize members whose dedication has advanced our mission and created lasting change. This celebration will include the presentation of:

  • The Hannah G. Solomon Award, recognizing a leader who has transformed lives and expanded the role of women in community life.
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award, honoring an individual whose lifelong service has made a profound impact on society.
  • The Janis Levine Music “Make-A-Difference” Award, celebrating a devoted volunteer who embodies the spirit and values of NCJW Dallas.

Rabbi Nancy Kasten is Chief Relationship Officer at Faith Commons, where she builds bridges across faiths and communities to promote civic engagement and interfaith understanding. A Reform rabbi, educator, and activist with over 30 years of leadership, Nancy has been a driving force for justice, gender equity, and human rights—locally and beyond.

She serves on the boards of Texas Impact, T’ruah, and Polyphony, and has worked closely with WRJ and Planned Parenthood in the fight for reproductive freedom. An alum of the OpEd Project Public Voices Fellowship, she brings Jewish values into national conversations with insight and passion.

A longtime NCJW member, Nancy’s service and advocacy have inspired others to lead with purpose. She is a past recipient of the Janis Levine Music Make-a-Difference Award and now receives the Hannah G. Solomon Award in recognition of her visionary leadership and moral courage.

Jody Platt is a lifelong advocate for social justice, education, and interfaith understanding whose leadership has left a lasting mark on both the Jewish and broader Dallas communities.

A former educator and artist, Jody served in key roles with NCJW Dallas, including Section President, where she launched initiatives like Kids in Court. She also spent 17 years writing a groundbreaking column in the Dallas Post Tribune, fostering connection between the Jewish and Black communities.

A recipient of the NCJW Lifetime Achievement Award, Jody continues to inspire future generations through her example of compassionate leadership.

Claudette Wolfe has dedicated her life to education, community service, and uplifting others. A beloved teacher for 50 years—38 of them at The Hockaday School—Claudette also founded a long-running reading and writing camp that empowered young learners for three decades.

Claudette joined NCJW Greater Dallas in 2003 and has been a passionate volunteer ever since. She’s spent nearly two decades with Kids in Court, served on the Awards Committee, as Executive Committee Secretary, and currently as Associate Secretary.  

Claudette’s warmth, integrity, and lifelong passion for learning embody the values of this award and continue to inspire everyone around her.
