OUR WORK IN THE COMMUNITY
NCJW DALLAS shows up in West Dallas at food distributions, diaper pantries, schools, and community centers—where single mothers quietly say, “I can’t afford both food and the holidays for my kids.” Families and children, students and seniors were met with dignity, warmth, and care.

NCJW Dallas shows up in the lives of young adults directly served by the Transition Resource Action Center (TRAC), who are rebuilding from trauma and instability.
Meet a few of the TRAC participants helped by NCJW Dallas:
- Danielle secured housing and employment while traveling out of state twice a month—never missing a visit with her son.
- Juan is earning his GED and training for a career after aging out of foster care.
- Kayla, a trans woman navigating loss and trauma, found stability, healing, and her voice as an advocate.
- Daqwuan, just 19, is enrolled in college with a dream of becoming a lawyer to support other youth aging out of care.
NCJW Dallas shows up in HIPPY classrooms, where parents learned that healthy food can be affordable and fun. After a Food+Fit=Fun session, one parent proudly sent a photo of a homemade “Beanie Brownie.” As Dallas ISD HIPPY Specialist Martha Ruiz shared, “The parents were happy and truly enjoyed the experience. They absolutely loved it.”
Nearly 900 families left with new skills, confidence, and hope.
