NCJW Dallas Announces Leadership Transition and Appointment of Interim Executive Director

Dallas, TX — NCJW Dallas is announcing a planned leadership transition as Executive Director Shannon Morse steps down from her role, effective June 30, 2026.
During her tenure, Morse provided dedicated leadership and made significant contributions to strengthening NCJW Dallas’ programs, infrastructure, and community impact. The organization expresses its deep gratitude for her service and wishes her continued success in her next professional endeavor.
To ensure continuity and operational stability, the Executive Committee has implemented a transition plan and appointed Leslie Freed Novick as interim executive director for a six-month term. In this role, Novick will oversee day-to-day operations and work closely with staff and board leadership to maintain organizational momentum during the transition period.
Novick brings extensive nonprofit leadership experience, including serving as executive director of the El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center and as president of the El Paso section of NCJW. Most recently, Leslie served as the chief philanthropy officer at the Arizona Theatre Company and on the boards of several nonprofits. Her leadership will support NCJW Dallas during this transitional period.
Board leadership affirmed that NCJW Dallas remains strong in mission and well-positioned for continued growth and community impact. With committed leadership, dedicated staff, and strong community support, the organization will continue advancing its advocacy and service work without interruption.
