More than 30 years ago, the Greater Dallas Section of the National Council of Jewish Women brought the Community Board Institute (CBI) to Dallas to engage volunteers and build their capacity for board service within the extensive nonprofit community that meets a wide variety of needs for all. In recent years, United Way , Center for Nonprofit Management and Junior League of Dallas have partnered with NCJW in presenting CBI.
In light of the current economic challenges we are all facing, the partners for CBI have made the decision to postpone the event in 2009. We hope that doing so allows you to focus your resources on shoring up your organizations.
Please save April 22, 2010 for the return of CBI! While we are uncertain how long this economic crisis will last, we know that the passion and commitment of thousands of nonprofit staff, boards and volunteers will rise to the challenges and pull us through these current circumstances making us even stronger and more focused than ever.
